HGV Class 2 Driver – Skip and RoRo Work People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Rugby, Warwickshire. Shifts• Monday to Friday – 06:00 to 15:00• Optional Saturday – 06:00 to 11:00 Rates of Pay• £17.30 per hour (basic) Benefits• Excellent hourly rates• Ongoing work• Weekly pay• On-site canteen• Training provided• Immediate start• Paid breaks Day-to-Day DutiesAs a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to): • Working on a schedule of Skip or RoRo jobs, all within a 45-minute drive from the Rugby operating centre• Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently• Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections• Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly• Adhering to traffic laws and regulations• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Essential SkillsTo be successful as a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need: • A valid UK Category C licence• A minimum of 2 years’ experience driving Category C vehicles• No more than six penalty points (minor infringements only)• A valid UK CPC card and Digi card• Good spoken and written English• Punctuality and excellent time-keeping• Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations• Effective communication skills• Experience with Skip and RoRo vehicles Desirable Experience• Previous commercial driving experience• Knowledge of Rugby, Cove
