Functional Description

  • The Health & Safety team at Williams Racing plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe, compliant, and high-performance working environment across all areas of the business. From the factory floor to the racetrack, the team works proactively to identify risks, implement safety practices, and promote a culture of responsibility and wellbeing. Collaborating with departments across the business, they ensure that all operations meet regulatory standards and support the team’s commitment to excellence. Their work is essential to protecting people, enabling performance, and maintaining the integrity of Williams Racing’s operations.
  • Health & Safety Industrial Placement
  • Join our Health & Safety team to support the coordination and delivery of essential safety training across Williams Racing. You’ll help maintain accurate records, improve induction processes, and work with internal teams and external providers to ensure a safe and compliant working environment. This office-based role offers exposure to training logistics, systems development, and compliance support contributing to a culture of wellbeing and operational excellence.

  • Collaborate with departments across technical, manufacturing, performance and commercial to embed safety into every aspect of the business.
  • Stay ahead of evolving regulations and industry standards, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation in safety practices.
  • Make Real Impact
  • Maintain and update relevant documentation, such as risk assessments, incident investigations and procedures.
  • Carry out audits and inspections and compile reports to feedback to stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver toolbox talks (short training sessions) on focussed topics across the team.
  • Champion internal health and safety communications and implement creative and innovative ways of getting safety messages across.
  • Contribute to the delivery of safety practices that protect people and enable high-performance operations.
  • Qualifications
  • Find Your Place
  • Studying a degree in a relevant field such as health & safety, business, law, or STEM, with a strong interest in workplace wellbeing and compliance.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and confident working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with SharePoint or training systems is a plus.
  • Experience through internships or personal projects is highly desirable.
