Job Description Summary • A Digital Product Leader is responsible for defining portfolio objectives and benchmarking key results for the customer experience across the division. • Digital Product Leaders will develop medium to long term high-level vision and strategy. They ensure that every digital product team has clarity and understanding of the key problems that they need to solve. A Digital Product Leader empowers those teams to develop quarterly objectives and key results that deliver value to both our customers and the LEGO Group. • The Digital Product Leader will be responsible for a team of digital product managers, supporting their development, managing performance, and creating the right culture to empower them and provide them with psychological safety to fail and learn. The Digital Product Leader is key to enabling people to achieve their potential and improving product management capability across the LEGO group. Impact • Digital Product Leaders ensure that every product team has clarity and understanding of the key problems that they need to solve at a portfolio OKR level and how this lines up with a team’s objectives and key results that deliver value to both our users and The LEGO Group. • Play a critical role in ensuring an effective process for reassigning Digital Product Managers between portfolios based on changes to business priorities and work with them to ensure they are successful in their careers at The LEGO Group. • As a key member of the leadership team, support the development of annual portfolio objectives and key results to help the division focus on strategic priorities. • Empower product teams in the division to develop quarterly objectives and key results that align with strategic priorities, providing deeper context, and access to key stakeholders across The LEGO Group where necessary. Knowledge • Ability to synthesize business strategy, user needs, market analysis to develop product vision and strategy that inspires stakeholders, improves the product portfolio and delights those who use the digital products. • Be on top of all aspects of digital product management from market changes through to product lifecycles and all methodologies. You know how to take a product from inception through to delivery and sunsetting.• Subject to International Position Evaluation by Global Rewards Communication • Ability to align key stakeholders (up to ELT level) by building investment in strategies and priorities leading to digital product execution. • Collaborate with insight, foresight and user research teams to develop a deeper understanding of market/tech trends, user needs, identifying further opportunities for product discovery that improve experiences for our customers. Leadership • Have overall accountability for ensuring that the Digital Product stream has the right capability - sponsoring, championing and inspiring the Digital Product community. • Provide day to day leadership to direct reports. • Lead and manage the performance of their team of Digital Product Managers. He/she set objectives for their team in line with product and departmental goals. • Build the organization by maintaining high standards in hiring and talent management through rigorous talent calibration, development and succession planning. • Able to guide and challenge the product teams if their direction strays away from the creation of value and alignment to the strategic direction. • Create a culture of experimentation around the development of new opportunities, helping teams formulate hypotheses, and seek validation through time-bound experiments with subsets of customers, enabling the environment of failing fast. • Analyze and define key leading metrics that inform the success of digital products, and work with product and data teams to ensure we can confidently monitor and act upon these metrics. • Constantly review with engineering and design the scope and resource of the digital product teams, ensuring the teams are set up for success and value creation can be maximized. • Support the growth of product managers, providing coaching so that they can confidently lead product teams through the ideation, development, and launch of innovative digital products and features. • Recruit, build, manage, and support the growth of a talented, diverse, equitable, and inclusive team of digital product managers. • Lead digital product teams through change, helping them retain focus through ambiguity, and helping them build resilience. • Drive a community-based approach for learning from each other, be active in the digital product and design community.
