Description Lead the tax team and oversee all UK and international tax compliance and planning.Develop and implement tax strategy across a complex group structure, including subsidiaries and joint ventures.Provide expert advice on VAT, SDLT, employment taxes, and corporation tax, with a focus on VAT.Engage with HMRC and external advisors to ensure compliance and influence policy.Drive cultural change across the organisation to embed tax awareness and best practices.Support major capital projects, international partnerships, and research initiatives with strategic tax input.Represent the organisation in sector bodies and government consultations. Profile The successful Head of Tax will be: Professionally qualified in tax (ATT, CTA part-qualified or equivalent), with significant post-qualification experience.Deep expertise in indirect tax, with strong knowledge of direct and international tax.Proven experience in large, complex organisations or professional practice.Skilled in stakeholder engagement, including influencing at board level and with HMRC.Demonstrated leadership in managing high-performing teams and driving cultural chan
