Our long-standing customer is looking for a talented software leader to manage their 50-person development team during a phase of rapid growth and internationalisation. The team build complex, customer facing B2B SaaS products used at significant volume. With ambitious plans for the company and strong investment in engineering, tooling, and leadership, they are looking for a Head of Software Development to help scale the team, drive best practice and ensure high levels of engineering performance. What You'll Be Responsible For Owning delivery, quality, and scalability across the development function.Embedding modern DevOps practices as part of development - CI/CD, automation, small batch delivery, and fast feedback.Driving continuous improvement using metrics and meaningful engineering KPIs.Improving developer productivity through better tooling, process, and engineering discipline.Leading and developing managers, creating consistency while allowing teams autonomy.Partnering closely with the CTO on technology strategy, platform evolution, and future capability.Balancing delivery pressure with sustainable, high-quality engineering.
