Social Justice Charity Head of People & OperationsSalary: £50,000- £60,000 FTE Part-time 3 days/4 days week with flexible working 6 Month fixed-term contract with possibility of extension or being made permanent Location: South London Tiger HR is excited to be partnering with a national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to building a more effective justice system. They lead the way in promoting evidence-based approaches, driving innovation in practice, and working collaboratively with justice, youth, and family services across the UK to deliver better outcomes for individuals and communities. About the role: In this key leadership role, you will oversee our HR, finance, communications, and operational functions, ensuring our core services run smoothly and effectively. You'll provide strategic direction and hands-on support across the organisation, working closely with the senior team and managing two direct reports. Key Responsibilities: People & HR Lead and manage all HR functions, including payroll, ER, recruitment, L&D, wellbeing, and policy compliance.Support staff development through performance management and training oversight.Ensure compliance with employment law and best practice.Review of HR Policies and Procedures Finance & Operations Oversee day-to-day financial operations including budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management.Manage accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations.Liaise with external providers (accountants, banks, HR and IT consultants) to ensure smooth operations.Maintain and update organisational policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance and best practice.Work with IT providers to ensure systems are secure, effective and fit for purpose.
