Head of Operations Mansfield £60,000 - £70,000 + Benefits An established and growing manufacturing and distribution business based in Mansfield is seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead and develop its end-to-end operational function. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for manufacturing, distribution, sales support and facilities, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance and continuous improvement across the site. The Role Reporting into the Managing Director, the Head of Operations will take full ownership of day-to-day operations, driving performance, safety and quality while supporting future growth and capacity expansion. Key responsibilities include: Overall leadership of site operations including manufacturing, distribution, sales support, facilities and securityDriving production planning, output, efficiency and equipment maintenanceManaging and developing multi-disciplinary operational teamsEnsuring best-in-class Health & Safety standards and safe systems of workOwnership of ISO, FSC and other compliance and accreditation frameworksResource planning across teams to meet operational demandNegotiating with transport and logistics providers to ensure cost-effective, reliable serviceCoordinating temporary labour where requiredPartnering closely with supply chain and purchasing to improve inbound and outbound stock flowLeading continuous improvement initiatives across the operation About You You will be a proven operational leader with strong experience in manufacturing, logistics or distribution-led environments, comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on.
