Role

• Focus: Technical oversight, delivery enablement, architectural alignment
• Primary Responsibilities

Technical Oversight

• Acts as a technical escalation point across multiple squads
• Guides teams through complex engineering decisions and trade-offs
• Ensures technical consistency and quality across deliverables

Architecture & Design

• Collaborates with Solution Architects to translate architecture into actionable technical designs
• Approves, Reviews and validates designs across teams
• Ensures alignment with platform strategy and scalability goals

Delivery Leadership

• Supports agile delivery through technical planning and work decomposition
• Identifies and resolves technical bottlenecks and blockers
• Manages shared engineering resources and cross-team dependencies

Team Support

• Provides informal coaching and mentoring to senior engineers
• Encourages technical ownership and accountability
• Supports onboarding and integration of new engineers
• Ideal Profile
• Senior engineer or architect background with delivery leadership experience
• Strong understanding of agile engineering practices and tooling
• Able to operate across multiple tech stacks and domains
• Comfortable influencing technical direction without direct line management
• Data and Reporting Technical Skills
• Google Cloud (specifically native data services, BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Data Fusion, GCS, IAM)
• IaC (Terraform)
• SQL/SQL Server/SSIS
• High level understanding of Data Modelling concepts (Kimball modelling/star schema)
• High level understanding of Data Engineering concepts
