Lloyd’s are seeking to recruit a Head of Data Change you will report to the Data & AI Director and will lead and oversee data-related change initiatives, ensuring the smooth transition to new processes, systems, and standards ensuring that these align to the Data & AI Strategy. The role focuses on driving stakeholder engagement, embedding robust governance, and promoting best practice in data and AI management. By enabling effective adoption and compliance, the Head of Data Change ensures that organisational data remains accurate, secure, and aligned to strategic objectives, delivering measurable business value. The role also involves the planning of Data & AI resources and ensuring that these resources are deployed effectively to deliver new Data & AI capabilities and products. For small change, medium to large projects this should be in accordance with the Lloyd’s delivery framework. The lead will need to leverage stakeholders across the Corporation to implement communication and training plans with the assistance if the Business Manager and work with our Accenture partners. Principal Accountabilities: Lead data change initiatives to ensure successful implementation of new processes, systems, and standards across the organisation. Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels to secure buy-in and support for data-related changes. Develop and execute change management plans, including communication and training strategies to drive adoption. Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and organisational data policies. Assess and manage the impact of change on business units, mitigating risks and resolving issues promptly. Monitor progress and performance against agreed objectives, reporting outcomes to senior leadership. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data change initiatives with broader business priorities. Identify and address barriers to adoption, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth transitions. Skills Knowledge and Experience Proven track record in leading data change programmes within large or complex organisations, ideally in a regulated environment. Hands-on experience with change management methodologies such as agile, including practical application in data-related initiatives. Background in data governance and compliance frameworks, with demonstrable experience ensuring adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR). Experience in business transformation or digital/data projects, working across multiple stakeholders and functional areas. Exposure to emerging technologies, including AI and advanced analytics, and their application in driving data-driven decision-making. Expertise in delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid), planning, scheduling, and resource management for data initiatives. Ability to manage organisational impact, communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders, and drive adoption of data solutions. Data Modelling & Storage Patterns Ensure appropriate modelling (medallion/Lakehouse, dimensional/star schema, data vault) and storage tiers (bronze/silver/gold) optimised for performance, cost, and reuse. Security, Privacy & Compliance by Design Bake in GDPR, data minimisation, PII handling, RBAC/ABAC, key management, network boundaries, and audit trails. Align with organisational security standards. Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics Awareness of AI concepts, machine learning. Academic Qualifications (Desirable) Professional certifications in Change Management (e.g., Change Management) to demonstrate expertise in structured methodologies. Project Management Certification – e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, or PMP for structured delivery of initiatives.
