Head of Data - Consultancy (Contract, Likely to Go Perm) Location: UK (Hybrid - 2-3 days per week onsite)Day Rate: £700/day (Inside IR35)Contract Length: 6 months (with strong potential to convert to permanent)Permanent Salary: Negotiable About the Role:A rapidly growing consultancy has secured several major projects and is now looking to build a new data team from the ground up. They need an experienced Head of Data to define the data strategy, lead delivery, and establish best practices across multiple engagements. Key Responsibilities: Develop and own the data strategy for client projects.Build and lead a high-performing data engineering and analytics team.Define architecture standards and ensure scalable, secure solutions.Act as the primary client contact for all data-related initiatives.Drive innovation using cloud technologies and modern data platforms. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a Head of Data, Data Director, or similar leadership role.Strong background in data engineering, architecture, and analytics.Expertise in Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake (experience with GCP or AWS is a bonus).Familiarity with modern data stack and best practices for data governance.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
