  • Job Description
  • The Head of Cluster, UK & Ireland will lead the full commercial and marketing agenda across these two strategically important markets. This senior leader will drive growth, brand equity, and commercial excellence for Nicotinell and future Consumer Health brands, while shaping the evolution of our operating model in the UK.
  • This role includes P&L ownership, strategic account leadership, distributor management, team leadership, and strategic transformation, including building in-house capabilities and identifying future M&A opportunities.
  • The incumbent will be preferably based in London, UK and report to Head of Commercial, Consumer Health

Responsibilities

  • Commercial Leadership and P&L Ownership
  • - Lead the full commercial, sales, marketing, and category strategy for the UK & Ireland cluster
  • - Own the cluster P&Ls, ensuring delivery of revenue, profit, market share, and ROI targets
  • - Develop and execute annual business plans and long-range strategic plans aligned with global strategy
  • Market & Channel Strategy
  • - Shape the market strategy for the UK and Ireland, considering channel dynamics, competition, and regulatory frameworks
  • - Oversee the transition of key UK strategic accounts from distributor to in-house
  • - Define tailored strategies for e-commerce, retail, pharmacy, and wholesale channels
  • Distributor & Partner Management
  • - Manage relationships with distributors in the UK & Ireland during the transition period
  • - Lead joint business planning (JBP), performance reviews, and commercial negotiations
  • - Set clear KPIs and ensure strong execution across trade and retail partners
  • Brand, Marketing & Category Leadership
  • - Own the go-to-market strategy and local activation plans
  • - Localise global brand strategies and campaigns
  • - Oversee category management to drive in-store performance, distribution, and visibility
  • Team Leadership & Organizational Build-Out
  • - Lead and develop a team of ~10 commercial, sales, category, and marketing professionals
  • - Build in-house commercial capabilities in the UK
  • - Foster a high-performance, agile, and collaborative culture
  • Retail & Key Account Leadership (UK Focus)
  • - Lead strategic customer relationships for key UK retailers
  • - Drive commercial negotiations, joint plans, and trade investment optimization
  • - Ensure flawless activation of brand plans and innovation launches
  • M&A Scouting & Strategic Projects
  • - Identify and evaluate potential M&A opportunities
  • - Lead special projects and strategic initiatives
  • - Contribute to building the broader international Consumer Health strategy
  • Qualifications
  • Educational qualification: Graduate / Master's degree; MBA preferred
  • Minimum work experience: 10+ years of commercial experience in Consumer Health, OTC, Pharma, or FMCG

Skills & attributes

  • Proven P&L ownership and ability to deliver growth
  • Experience managing distributors and leading in-house commercial teams
  • Strong negotiation skills with UK retail/pharmacy experience
  • Knowledge of OTC/NRT or regulated categories preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to drive organizational change
  • Strong analytical and strategic capabilities

  • Nicotinell is the #2 NRT brand globally (excluding the US), with a presence in over 30 countries across Europe, Asia (including Japan), and Latin America. It holds #1 or #2 share positions in 14 of the top 17 global NRT markets, with the lozenge/mini-lozenge format ranking #1 globally.
  • The brand is valued at approximately £250 million and ranks among the Top 15 OTC brands in Europe (excluding Russia) and #32 globally (excluding the US).
  • Dr. Reddy’s intends to build a US$1 billion Consumer Health division within 5 years, leveraging the strength of Nicotinell and further strategic acquisitions.
  • In the UK & Ireland, the current route-to-market is via distributors; however, for the UK, there is a strategic intent to transition key accounts and selected roles in-house.
