About
We’re looking for an experienced AML professional to take on an appointed role as Head of Compliance and AML for our licensed crypto exchange, Axion Exchange (axionexchange.io). You stood out to us because of your extensive background in AML and compliance, particularly in roles that closely mirror what we’re offering, as well as your strong experience within the crypto industry. The position is structured as an appointed advisor role. You would serve as the formal Head of AML & Compliance for our Polish entity, providing high-level oversight and regulatory guidance. Our internal team and automated systems handle first-line AML, KYC, and transaction monitoring (via partners like Sumsub), so your involvement would primarily be focused on: * Reviewing and deciding on escalated or high-risk cases * Submit quarterly AML activity reports * Advising on compliance procedures and enforcement of our existing AML/KYC policy * Keeping the company informed of changes in the Polish and EU regulatory landscape (including MiCA and related frameworks) We require that the appointed person holds a qualified Polish electronic signature (not EPUAP), as it’s essential for formal compliance filings. However, we won’t immediately rule out candidates who don’t currently have one. In short, we’re seeking a credible, qualified professional to act as the head of our AML and compliance operations, while our existing systems and team manage daily operation Initially, we plan to offer a monthly retaining pay (a fixed payment you receive simply for holding the appointment, regardless of whether you perform any work) along with an hourly rate for any active work performed throughout the month. While our current budget is limited as we are still in a startup and soft-launch phase, we believe this is an excellent opportunity to grow with us. As our user base and operations expand, both the scope of your role and your compensation would increase accordingly. In the long term, we expect this position to evolve into a full-time, senior, or even global compliance role within the company.
