If so we have an exciting opportunity in the Crewe area:Job Description Designs wiring systems for one or more projectsIs responsible for the application of product designPerforms one or several of the following design elements:External and internal Change Management processes2-D Harness routingDesign Release EngineeringDetermining whether a design solution is user-friendly, cost-effective and environmentally friendlyEvaluating design solutions against industry standards and regulationsEvaluate DVP impact on the product and establish solutionsDrawing release and BOM accuracyModule split of 2D designsModule logistic code definitionResident Design EngineeringEvaluation of customer systemsSchematic DesignWire DimensioningRegular communication with customer, engineers and our manufacturing plantsParticipate to all engineering activities related with the product (FMET, DFMEA,DMU, Design for Manufacturing, etc…)Regular presence in reviews related with the customer development strategyCircuits analyseVAVE proposalsIs responsible for technical content for documentation according to customer specification Qualifications and Experience Ideally educated to HNC/degree level, or equivalent, in an Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering disciplineKnowledge of VW Systems and specific Bentley SystemsKnowledge of vehicle electrical systems and circuitsHave a sound understanding of the harness design and manufacturing processesExperience working in a Customer interface roleExcellent communication and interpersonal skills (including presentation, technical communication and negotiation
