Pertemps Network Group are currently supporting a London-based local authority in the appointment of a Hard FM and Compliance Manager. In this pivotal permanent role, you will take strategic and operational responsibility for the delivery of hard FM services across the Council’s corporate estate.You will ensure operational excellence, full statutory compliance, and the ongoing resilience of all building systems, leading maintenance strategies, managing complex technical projects, and driving continuous improvement in building performance and safety. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will provide authoritative leadership across technical services, compliance governance, and asset life cycle planning. This is a hands-on, proactive role that requires versatility and a practical approach. A significant portion of your time will be spent on-site, physically auditing compliance and surveying mechanical and electrical systems, building fabric, and associated documentation by ensuring all premises controller are managing their site effectively whilst maintain same order on FM managed sites.You will be responsible for ensuring that all legal obligations are fulfilled to the highest standard and within required timeframes as per SFG-20. In addition, you will prepare technical specifications for system upgrades or replacements, develop business cases with payback assessments, and manage the delivery of relevant projects from start to finish.You will work closely with the Head of Facilities Management, the Contract Managers, Compliance administration and the Helpdesk teams to ensure that both contractors and in-house teams are aligned with statutory compliance schedules.
