Your Role Provide regulatory and technical expertise to all areas of the business, ensuring that all relevant legislation, policies and procedures are followed and reviewed on a regular basis. Directly manage the central Technical Services team and Life Science Quality Manager. Create and develop technical documents, audit documents, process and procedures or statements. Assist the depot network with preparation/provide guidance for their site audits, conduct internal audits and manage the quality management standard (QMS). Manage the QSHE competency and develop competency building plans, annual goal setting and objectives. Ensure all employees are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a strong work ethic and developing a positive culture. Provide support and guidance to the wider UK-Quality team and Regional QHSE. Customer support – direct engagement with customers on quality related matters including customer visits and customer audits. Approving suppliers and product specifications for the food, feed, pharma industry. Working with various departments to ensure compliance to the quality and management systems, advising, training and enforcing where required Provide stakeholders with technical support with the ability to manage their expectations. Provide quarterly and monthly quality related KPI reports for the UK and Ireland. Your Profile Qualifications Degree in Chemistry or Science based subject, or an equivalent vocational qualification Lead Auditor Qualification HACCP Food Safety (Level 3) Full UK/EU Driving Licence Experience 5 years previous experience in a technical/quality management position with experience in the chemical or related industry Working knowledge of GFSI Standards, FEMAS, GDP and relevant EU compliance requirements. Comprehensive understanding of food legislation in relation to UK and EU regulations. Experience of complaint handling, CAPA Investigations and recalls. Good level of understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001and quality processes. Experience of managing regulatory inspections, external audits and customer audits. Skills and attitude Ability to form good working relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external. Train and develop relevant members to create a high-performing team. Proven Interpersonal skillset – effective listener and communicator; positive attitude to engage, inspire, motivate, lead, support, mentor. Self-motivated and task oriented, ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, to prioritise and multi-task. Strong leader with excellent communication, time-management and organisational skills. Superior influencing skills to engage, inspire, motivate, lead, support, mentor. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, to prioritise and multi-task. Experienced in working in an agile environment. Effective relationship builder, enthusiastic with a hunger and passion to drive a positive QSHE culture. Working arrangements Office based with scope for hybrid working. Travel to UK and Ireland Sites with occasional travel to EMEA Regions.
