Robert Half is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Group Financial Controller to join a well-established, Lancashire based wholesale business. Reporting directly to the Directors, this role will oversee the finance function across the group and play a key role in shaping the company's financial strategy. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, with a strong commercial mindset and an understanding of business strategy. Experience in operations and sales is advantageous, alongside a history of successfully implementing system and process improvements. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts to the Board. Manage cash flow, including transactions in multiple currencies. Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Oversee the full auditing process and liaise with external auditors. Implement process improvements, efficiency measures, and automation initiatives. Ensure robust financial controls, compliance, and adherence to accounting standards. Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting best practice across all operations. Coordinate tax planning and compliance in partnership with external advisors when necessary. Required Experience and Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience. Proven controller experience within retail or wholesale preferred Demonstrated experience managing a finance team. Excellent communicat
