Day-to-day of the role: Lead strategic initiatives and promote a positive information culture in alignment with the Greater Manchester Information Strategy.Champion compliance with data protection laws and implement best practices across the organisations.Engage with senior leaders and national stakeholders on key regional projects, fostering innovation in information and data governance.Drive transformational programs that enhance the use and governance of data within the region. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven leadership experience in Information and Data Governance and Data Protection.Strong technical expertise in data protection legislation, Freedom of Information (FOI), Environmental Information Regulations (EIR), and wider information best practices.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including local authorities and government bodies.Collaborative mindset with a focus on adaptability and fostering an inclusive and ethical working environment.Commitment to continuous improvement, empowering teams to achieve strategic goals while balancing operational excellence.
