Both are bright, curious and enjoy literature, mathematics, science, history and geography. You will work primarily with the younger child, as the elder is independent and requires less daily support. The focus of the role is academic structure, homework guidance and thoughtful after-school learning. A teacher profile is preferred.The family values gentle consistency and a Governess who can create clear routines that provide security and help the boys stay focused in a warm and encouraging way. A confident, nurturing presence is key — someone who can guide without force, and who understands how to hold kind but firm boundaries.In addition to educational duties, the Governess will support the household with PA responsibilities, including arranging children’s schedules, booking family travel, buying birthday and seasonal gifts, running occasional errands, liaising with tutors and teachers, booking restaurants, events and appointments and supporting the smooth running of the family’s week. Both parents work full time, so the ability to manage your own day with maturity and autonomy is essential.There is no travel during term time, and the family is seeking someone who will stay with them long term.
