As you may imagine, this isn’t always easy, and requires empathy, strong effective communication skills and bags of resilience, a typical week could look as follows:Prepare and review Board and Committee papers for upcoming meetings, ensuring quality and timely dispatch.Check governance mailboxes, triage queries, and escalate issues where needed.Meet with senior stakeholders to align governance reporting with strategic priorities.Support the wider Governance team with statutory returns and regulatory reporting.Draft governance reports and presentations for Board and Committees.Conduct horizon scanning for regulatory and legal updates; prepare a briefing for leadership.Facilitate a Board or Committee meeting: manage logistics, take accurate minutes, and track actions.Lead improvements to governance templates and processes.Deliver advice and guidance to colleagues on governance and compliance matters.Develop and share communication plans to raise awareness of internal governance policies or external regulatory changes.Coordinate with colleagu
