We run a number of interconnected Google Sheets with Apps Scripts that automate key operational processes across our business. Our current internal owner of these tools is leaving soon, and we need someone to take over the system to ensure smooth, reliable performance moving forward. We’re looking for a specialist who can quickly understand our setup, document it, improve stability, and provide ongoing support. Longer term, there may be opportunities to help evolve the system into something more scalable. RESPONSIBILITIES - Review and understand existing Google Sheets + Apps Script workflows - Document how data flows and what scripts do - Maintain and troubleshoot when issues arise - Improve performance, reliability, and user experience - Train team members on best practices and how to resolve basic issues - Work closely with operations team to support daily needs REQUIRED SKILLS - Strong experience with Google Sheets & Google Apps Script - Advanced Google Sheets knowledge (formulas, conditional logic, data validation, named ranges, triggers) - Comfortable reading and improving existing code - Good communication and documentation habits - Ability to collaborate with non-technical team members BONUS SKILLS (Not required, but nice to have) - Experience migrating spreadsheets into more robust systems - Familiarity with API integrations - Experience with workflow automation tools (Make/Integromat, Zapier) - Google Cloud experience (Firebase/Firestore/AppSheet) ENGAGEMENT - Start immediately for a handover period - 10–20 hours/week initially for 4–8 weeks - Potential for ongoing work (maintenance and further development) HOW TO APPLY - Please share examples of Google Sheets & Google Apps Script projects you have built or maintained - Your hourly rate and typical weekly availability - Brief explanation of how you would approach learning an existing system We are ready to hire within days - looking forward to working with a reliable and proactive expert!
