Goods In Inspector Location: Birmingham Salary: Competitive Vacancy Type: Monday to Thursday 0730 – 1600, Friday 0730 - 1230 Our client is a well-established and expanding manufacturing company based in Birmingham. The Role They are seeking a Goods In Inspector to join their growing manufacturing team. This role is critical in ensuring that all incoming materials, components, and finished products meet required specifications, quality standards, and compliance criteria. You will play a vital part in maintaining product integrity, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting their commitment to delivering outstanding quality to the customers. Key Responsibilities: Load and unload delivery vehicles in line with H&S procedures.Checking Goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and damages & completing paperwork.Quality checking goods on arrival prior to accepting load.Movement of goods between departments, using FLT or manual and Electric pump trucks.Notify relevant departments if any shortages occur on deliveries.Liaising with the quality team if a non-conformance needs raising.Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely resolution of issues and concerns.Booking in deliveries with suppliers.Ensure all stocks movements are accurately recorded including stock to be allocated to production.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and sustained product quality.Assisting with stock takes.General Housekeeping of Goods In Warehouse.Observe and help to drive their Health and Safety culture.Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing and quality functions.
