Role description: Reporting to the Global Workplace Director, this role is to provide project management leadership and expertise to support the global property portfolio transformation. The Global Workplace Project Director is professionally accountable for the operational delivery of all portfolio CAPEX projects across the core office estate. This role will drive a culture of service excellence through continuous improvements and commercially sound decisions relating to all aspects of CAPEX projects including fit for purpose buildings and workplaces, by delivering efficient and effective services to meet customer needs, whilst balancing the delivery of the Capital Budget Plan to support business objectives and smarter working standards. Role accountabilities: You will play a key role in helping our us deliver our Workplace Promise to ensure it meets people, client, and financial objectives. Your primary responsibility will be to organize the delivery of multiple fit out projects around the world, including assembling in country delivery teams to create efficient delivery models. Create and implement comprehensive project plans ensuring that project deliverables are achieved on time and in line with budgetary guidelines. Draft project requirement documents ensuring that all desired functionality and deliverables are properly defined and communicated. Understands the business needs for the project to enable a robust investment planning and benefits. Accountable as key point of across the identified project for interdependency, risk and change management. Effective management of stakeholders both in the program and in BAU Develop and manage project planning, issue management, knowledge management, documentation, and meeting structure. Provide analysis around timelines to develop a point of view on sequencing of transformation globally to minimize disruption on the day-to-day business. Continually evaluate processes to ensure any future state recommendations still fit within the original goals. Create a holistic approach to communicate with and engage stakeholders to maximize impact and influence to ensure alignment against program outcomes. Responsible for providing business analysis, measurements, and reporting using internal data as well as independent external sources to measure the effectiveness of both current operations and specific project deliverables. Provide strategic and tactical leadership for the team that ensures the function goals are achieved, there are improved efficiencies and customer satisfaction meet or exceed expectations during the course of the solution development and post implementation. Recognize key risks and issues, and propose contingency plans to mitigate the risks to project leadership. Maintain a professional business relationship by directly and indirectly negotiating timeframes and matters pertaining to the program. Oversee compliance to all company/client policies and procedures. Engage with senior leaders across the Enabling Functions, GBA and transformation engine to understand the direction and feed this back into the strategy and transformation risk management process Qualifications & Experience: The candidate should ideally have a proven track record in corporate real estate CAPEX delivery and additionally for this role Arcadis values professional experience across the following priority areas: Leading transformation: Ability to bring people on a journey to the unknown, creating a sense of stability and security in uncertain times, avoiding change fatigue.
