As a General Secondary Teacher, your primary goal is to deliver a high-quality educational experience, ensuring students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 are challenged and supported. You will be instrumental in creating a positive, dynamic, and purposeful learning environment that encourages high achievement and intellectual curiosity.
Key Duties Include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons according to the school's curriculum.
- Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting a positive, disciplined learning environment.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and school events.
- Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date knowledge of curriculum and teaching methodologies.
Required Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification is essential.
- A relevant university degree in a subject area is required.
- Proven ability to teach effectively at the secondary level (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4).
- Exceptional classroom management and organisational skills.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- An up-to-date Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (or willingness to obtain one).
