The Role: General Supply Teacher

As a General Supply Teacher, you are crucial to ensuring continuity of learning across the school. This role offers flexibility and variety, covering lessons across different subjects and year groups, ensuring students remain engaged and on task in the absence of their regular teacher.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and activities across a range of subjects and key stages (KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5).
• Manage the classroom environment effectively, promoting a positive, safe, and productive learning atmosphere.
• Ensure students complete assigned work and adhere to the school's high standards of behavior.
• Follow all school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and health and safety.
• Mark and leave feedback on completed work as required by the departmental policy.
• Report back to the relevant Head of Department/Year on student progress and any issues arising during the lesson.

What We're Looking For:

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can quickly establish rapport with students and maintain momentum in the classroom.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications are highly desirable, but experienced non-QTS cover supervisors with a strong track record are also encouraged to apply.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to liaise effectively with staff and students.
• A flexible and resilient approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt quickly to different subject matter and year groups.
• Strong organisational skills and punctuality.
• A commitment to the school's ethos and a passion for student success.
