Monday - Friday / Day Shift (8:00 - 16:30)

£12.21 for all ages (National Living Wage)

Overtime (at 1.5 x hourly pay) available

2 x 15 minute breaks (Paid) & 1 x 30 minute break (Unpaid) per shift

Peak Converters Ltd are a leading manufacturer in the production of foam and fibre conversion products, based in north Derbyshire.

Our family run business are looking for an enthusiastic General Operative to join our Cutting Team.

Job Overview

• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment start-up and operation.
• Start-Up and adjustments to machinery when necessary.
• Operate equipment according to instructions to ensure quality production and minimal stops.
• Perform quality checks, follow reporting and record keeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and clean workstation
• Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete production plans.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Skills and Proficiency

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and safety.
• 5S Trained (desirable)
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in maths.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Self-driven and motivated.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
