About

Quack Recruitment & Training is looking for a dedicated, hands-on General Labourer. You’ll help keep sites running smoothly, safely and on time while working alongside skilled tradespeople and our training teams.

Responsibilities for the General Labourer role will be:

Assist with loading and unloading materials, tools and equipment.
Move, handle and organise materials on-site (including insulation products for retrofit).
Perform general site maintenance: cleaning, tidying work areas, waste segregation and safe walkways.
Support skilled trades by fetching/setting up tools, preparing work areas and basic assistance.
Operate basic tools/machinery under supervision (after briefings) and report any defects immediately.
Follow site safety protocols at all times, including correct PPE and manual handling practices.
Help with deliveries, stock counts and labelling so materials are easy to find and use.
Take part in toolbox talks/team briefings and contribute to daily task planning.
Flag any hazards, near misses, or quality issues to the site lead/tutor straight away.
Requirements for the General Labourer role will be:

Strong physical stamina and the ability to carry out manual tasks for extended periods.
Good communication and teamworking skills; calm, reliable and punctual.
Attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately and work safely.
Basic understanding of health & safety on construction/industrial sites (advantageous).
Willingness to learn and adapt to changing tasks/environments.
CSCS card preferred (we can support candidates working towards CSCS).
Right to work in the UK.
Pay for the General Labourer role will be:

£30,000 per annum (DOE), monthly pay.
