We are seeking a proactive and adaptable General Cover Teacher (GCT) to join a dynamic secondary school located in the Sutton Coldfield area. This vital role involves supervising classes and delivering pre-planned lessons across all subjects in Key Stages 3, 4, and occasionally 5, ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absences.

Key Responsibilities
Supervising secondary pupils (ages 11-18) during lessons, managing classroom behaviour effectively.
Delivering pre-prepared work efficiently and ensuring pupils remain on task.
Communicating effectively with teaching staff regarding pupil progress and any issues encountered during cover sessions.
Upholding school policies and contributing positively to the overall high standards and achievement of the school.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be a professional who:
Has experience working with secondary school-aged pupils (desirable but not essential if you have strong classroom management skills).
Is flexible, reliable, and able to cover a diverse range of subjects.
Possesses excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
Is fully committed to the welfare and safeguarding of all young people.
