We are currently working in partnership with an award-winning Housing Association, who are looking to appoint a Gas Engineer on a permanent basis. This will be a full-time position based in Portishead, the role comes with a van/fuel card and the annual salary is £40,041 per annum. The ideal candidate will have experience carrying out gas servicing, breakdowns and repairs efficiently while in adherence with Gas Safe legislation. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Carrying out annual gas servicing, breakdowns and reactive repairsCompleting Gas Safe certificates accurately and reporting defectsWorking in occupied properties and liaising directly with tenantsEnsuring appointments are made and keptParticipating in an out-of-hours standby rota for gas/plumbing emergenciesManaging allocated vehicles, tools, stock and mobile devicesWorking independently or as part of a team and using your own initiativeAttending and fully participating in training, 1-2-1s, toolbox talks and appraisals Skills, knowledge and expertise required: Full, clean UK driving licenceCurrent CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1, WAT1, CEN gas qualificationsRelevant City & Guilds or NVQDemonstrating strong knowledge of Health & Safety and gas regulationsExperience working in a customer-focused environment Working hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
