- As a Frontend Engineering Team Manager, you will lead and mentor a team of engineers responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable frontend solutions. You will play a central role in aligning technical execution with strategic product goals while fostering professional growth and collaboration within your team. This position involves guiding technical decisions, improving processes, and ensuring roadmap commitments are delivered efficiently. You will collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to translate priorities into actionable tasks, drive code quality, and optimize frontend architecture. Operating in a fully remote, international environment, you will help cultivate a diverse and inclusive team culture while maintaining high standards for performance, usability, and accessibility. Accountabilities
- · Lead and support a frontend engineering team, focusing on delivery, technical excellence, and people development.
- · Mentor team members, fostering continuous learning, career growth, and a culture of coaching.
- · Collaborate with Product and Design teams to ensure roadmap commitments are delivered iteratively and with a customer focus.
- · Drive technical decisions, process improvements, and best practices in code quality, architecture, and frontend performance.
- · Establish delivery estimates, monitor progress, and support the team in resolving blockers and overcoming challenges.
- · Own recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes to grow and strengthen the team.
- · Facilitate regular one-on-one meetings, goal setting, performance evaluations, and continuous feedback.
- · Promote documentation, knowledge sharing, and open communication across a remote, globally distributed team.
- · Cultivate empathy and inclusion, supporting a positive and diverse workplace culture.
- · 7+ years of experience in software development, including 2+ years in engineering leadership.
- · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- · Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one modern frontend framework (Vue.js, React, or similar).
- · Deep understanding of modern frontend engineering practices, including component-based architectures, scalable styling, and performance optimization.
- · Applied knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, architecture, and problem-solving.
- · Experience integrating frontend with RESTful APIs and backend services.
- · Familiarity with version control, Unix environments, development tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and frontend testing strategies.
- · Knowledge of accessibility, responsiveness, and usability principles to deliver user-centric products.
- · Proven ability to lead teams effectively — guiding engineers, resolving blockers, and ensuring delivery commitments are met.
- · Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills across Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
- · Confident, detail-oriented, and motivated to contribute to team and organizational growth.
