Overview
Lusso is an independent pizza restaurant and ice-creamery in the centre of Newbury. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Front of House Staff to join our fabulous team. We would love to hear from you if you are a friendly, easy-going person with great customer service skills, who is able to work under pressure. You will ideally have at least a few years of hospitality experience.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The successful candidate should possess the following:

· A minimum of 2 years recent restaurant experience in a similar role

· A passion for high quality food and great customer service

· Be able to work well under pressure

· Calm and friendly manner with great communication skills

Please only apply if you live locally, are able to work a mixture of shifts including daytime, evenings and weekends all year round, and are not restricted by school hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assist with seating arrangements and manage reservations efficiently.
• Provide menu information and answer any queries regarding food and beverages.
• Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, chairs, and waiting areas.
• Support food preparation and presentation as required, adhering to food safety standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of meals.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions to enhance guest experience.

Skills

• Strong hospitality skills with a genuine desire to provide a good service
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining high standards
• Bartending skills are a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and team members effectively.
• A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: £12.21-£15.50 per hour
