Every thought about becoming a Foster Carer?We’re having more and more conversations with people who’ve thought about fostering but aren’t sure where to start so we wanted to reach out.Fostering is about providing a safe, caring and stable home for a child who needs it most. It can be challenging at times, but it is also incredibly rewarding to see a young person grow in confidence and feel secure again.You don’t need any formal experience to explore this path just:Be over 21Have a spare room in your homeHave the time, patience and compassion to support a childBe able to provide a stable and nurturing environmentIf you’re already a foster carer and feel like you’re not getting the support you need, it’s also possible to transfer to Thrive while keeping your current approval and placements in place with full support from day one.There is a minimum allowance of £450 per week+, along with ongoing support, guidance and training from an experienced fostering team.Even if you’re only just starting to think about fostering and would simply like a chat to find out more (no pressure at all), we’d love to hear from you.
