Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Food Technology across a range of key stages.
• Teach essential cooking skills, nutritional knowledge, and food safety practices.
• Develop and assess students' practical skills and theoretical understanding, providing constructive feedback to support their progress.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment in the food technology room, ensuring all equipment is used and stored correctly.
• Manage a budget for food ingredients and resources, ensuring efficient and effective use.
• Contribute to the development of the Food Technology curriculum, introducing new and innovative topics.
• Participate in school-wide activities and events, such as parents' evenings and open days.
• Foster a positive and disciplined learning environment where all students feel confident to experiment and learn.

What We're Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A strong subject knowledge in Food Technology, Food Preparation and Nutrition, or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary school level.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• A creative and resourceful approach to teaching and lesson planning.
• A firm understanding of health and safety regulations in a food-related setting.
• A commitment to promoting healthy eating and a positive relationship with food.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
