Our company has 2 hotels in Penzance - Hotel Penzance Harbour View and Hotel Penzance Promenade and 2 restaurants - The Surf Club in Marizion and Ministry Of Flavour in Penzance town.

We currently require guest focused food and beverage service staff for both our breakfast and dinner services for all our businesses.

Job Overview:

The servers must have a passion for restaurants and hospitality.

Exude warmth and offer heartfelt service to our guests.

A willingness to go the extra mile and create delight for our guests through attention to detail, anticipation and a friendly smile.

Serve food and beverages as per the standards of the company.

Take food and beverage orders and clearly communicate them to the kitchen team.

Duties:

- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Present food and beverage menus and provide recommendations to guests.
- Take and serve food and drink orders promptly and accurately.
- Upsell additional beverages or specials to enhance guest experience.
- Prepare and serve beverages following standard recipes.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for beverage and food orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar, dining and back areas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks when needed.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality, courtesy, and professionalism.

- Assist the restaurant managers with stock takes and inventory

Requirements:

- Prior experience of at least one year in a reputed restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.

- Experience of using till software such as EPOS preferable.
- Familiarity with food safety practices is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, very busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
- Passion for the restaurant industry and willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products or services effectively.

- Punctual, reliable, with high moral awareness.

- Personal hygiene basics in place.

- Immaculately groomed in line with company expectations.
