Job Summary IPSD has an opening for a Performance Systems Flashfile Integration Coordinator located in the United Kingdom working from our Peterborough Campus. The Performance Systems Integration (PSI) team are responsible for end-to-end definition of the performance system. PSI lead the engine and aftertreatment performance development cycle; from new technology concept selection, through to development and validation of new products and then supporting and maintaining our current products. PSI also play a key role in integrating our products into customer applications. What You Will Do As the Performance Systems Flashfile Integration Coordinator, you will be responsible for; Working with a cross-functional group to integrate the software and calibration content into the flashfile and coordinating the flashfile build validation, to enable flashfile delivery to time and quality for new product development and current product maintenance for all IPSD products. Run flashfile and calibration working sessions to ensure plan, requirements and priorities are met, are clear and actioned. Owning and leading sub-process development for Flashfile Integration and Lean Continuous Improvement within the Flashfile Execution Team. Mentor and provide technical leadership to the Flashfile Integrators and Analysts. The successful candidate will work as part of a cross functional team, collaborating with partners in Systems Engineering, Electronics, Performance and Emissions, Application teams, CPI Team and Product teams based in the UK, US, India and China to deliver world class products and directly contribute to the Performance Systems and IPSD goals. What You Have Technical Excellence Level – Working Knowledge Experience of some or all of the following Tools and processes used to integrate software and calibration into a flashfile Flashfile verification testing and tools. Project management methodologies and approaches. Engine and / or Aftertreatment systems. Process development and lean continuous improvement methods. Applies technical operating and project standards based on achieving excellence in delivered products, technologies and services. Applies current procedures and technologies to help resolve technical issues in one's general area of technical competence. Helps others solve technical or procedural problems or issues. Effective Communications Level – Working Knowledge Delivers concise, clear oral communications across teams with multiple disciplines and levels with follow up supporting written communications to drive effective and efficient action. Delivers helpful feedback that focuses on behaviors without offending the recipient. Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own communication effectiveness. Accuracy and Attention to Detail Level – Working Knowledge Accurately gauges the impact and cost of errors, omissions, and oversights. Utilises specific approaches and tools for checking and cross-checking outputs. Processes limited amounts of detailed information with good accuracy. Learns from mistakes and applies lessons learned. Project Management Level – Basic Understanding Identifies project management tools and requirements within own function. Describes the key objectives, phases and deliverables of a current project. Gives examples of critical paths in projects. Process Management Level – Working Knowledge Employs process flows, cycle time, process time and waste concepts as appropriate. Walks through steps, decisions, measurements, dependencies and hand-offs for a specific process. Creates process flow or work flow diagrams. Documents types of process decisions and potential impact of each decision.
