Fire Door Surveyor Location: London / M25Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pmSalary: £39,000 An established facilities management organisation is seeking an experienced Fire Door Surveyor to support its continued growth. The successful individual will demonstrate a strong working knowledge of current fire safety legislation and standards, delivering high-quality fire door inspections and reporting in line with recognised industry frameworks, including BM TRADA. Key Responsibilities Carry out comprehensive fire door inspections across commercial and residential premisesAssess fire door components, including door leaves, frames, seals, ironmongery, and associated hardware, to ensure regulatory complianceConfirm fire doors are correctly installed, unobstructed, and fully operationalTest fire doors for correct closing, latching, and overall functionality within required tolerancesIdentify, document, and report any defects, non-compliance issues, or potential fire safety risksProduce clear, accurate, and detailed inspection reports suitable for both technical and non-technical audiencesProvide recommendations for remedial actions, including repair, maintenance, adjustment, or replacement of fire doorsMaintain accurate and up-to-date inspection recordsOffer professional guidance to clients and responsible persons regarding fire door compliance, maintenance, and upgradesRemain up to date with current legislation, standards, and best practice through ongoing CPD Additional Responsibilities Undertake other reasonable duties as required to meet operational needsWork independently or collaboratively as part of a wider team to deliver a high standard of serviceCommunicate professionally and proactively
