Are you an experienced Finishing Foreman/Foreperson looking for your next challenge? Join our dedicated team on a thriving new-build housing development in the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. We are looking for a meticulous, quality-focused professional to drive the final stages of our high-standard homes.
Rate: £24ph-£25ph CIS
Start: ASAP
Duration: Feb 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Control: Meticulously inspect and ensure all finished works (internal and external) meet the company's high standards, client specifications, and building regulations.
- Snagging & Remedial Works: Compile and manage the snagging lists, ensuring all remedial works are completed efficiently and to the required quality before handover.
- Subcontractor Management: Oversee and coordinate all finishing trade subcontractors (e.g., painters, decorators, floorers, tilers) to ensure timely and effective progress.
- Programming: Work closely with the Site Manager to schedule and sequence finishing works, ensuring deadlines are met and workflow is seamless.
- Health & Safety: Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring strict adherence to all H&S policies and procedures during the finishing phase.
- Customer Care: Prepare plots for final inspection and customer handover, ensuring a flawless presentation.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience snagging and working to a snagging list.
- Experience siliconing and caulking
- Excellent knowledge of the building process from second fix through to completion and customer handover.
- Must have own tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving defects.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to manage and motivate trade teams.
- Valid SMSTS/SSSTS certification and a relevant CSCS card are essential.
