Robert Half is exclusively partnering with a high-growth, investment-led business in Birmingham to appoint a Financial Controller. This is a newly created role following a period of sustained expansion and private investment, offering significant exposure to the senior leadership team and a clear route to Finance Director as the business continues its growth trajectory. Working closely with the CFO, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, lead a small team, and help shape the financial strategy as the business scales - both organically and through acquisition. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, controls, and month-end close.Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.Lead, mentor and develop a small, high-performing finance team.Implement process improvements and strengthen financial governance.Support the integration of new acquisitions and drive reporting consistency across the group.Prepare insightful financial analysis to support commercial decision-making. About You: ACA qualified, ideally trained in a Big 4 or top-tier accounting firm.Looking for afirst or second move from practice into an ambitious, high-growth business.Strong technical grounding in financial reporting and controls, with the confidence to partner at board level.Commercially minded, with the ability to balance day-to-day rigour with strategic input.Proactive, curious, and driven - someone who wants to make an impact in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
