- Ensure that inventory E&O reserves are accurately calculated and recorded in accordance with company policies and procedures Ensure proper accounting treatment of goods in transit, rework, goods received not invoiced, MPV release, etc. Manage the team's compliance with US GAAP, company policies and procedures, and other regulatory requirements Manage internal and external audit support, including preparation of audit documentation in response to auditor inquiries Implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization Implement recommendations and mitigation plans in response to audit findings and outcomes Ensure that third-party contractors deliver high-quality work and ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met and maintained Establish and monitor performance metrics for third parties and ensure that third-party-owned activities remain in compliance with company standards and policies Implement quality assurance processes to review and approve the work of third-party support and provide feedback 7+ years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance roles of increasing responsibility. A minimum of 3 years of public accounting (Big 4 experience preferred). Experience with a large ERP system (SAP and Blackline experience preferred) Must possess a deep technical knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is considered a plus. Degree in BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance or a similar BSc (Hons) in a related accounting field, Chartered Accountant (ACA), and the Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) designation is preferred. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet deadlines. Demonstrated success in the development of staff and others toward improved skills, independence, and self-initiative. Ability to earn trust and credibility within the organization, and capable of developing effective business relationships with all members of the global accounting organization leadership team. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make sound business decisions.
