Job Title: Financial Accountant We are currently working with a client who is looking to appoint an experienced Financial Accountant to support their statutory reporting and financial control requirements. This role is well suited to a qualified accountant with a strong technical accounting background and experience in statutory accounts preparation and external reporting.The position will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and a robust control environment. Key Responsibilities Preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (UK GAAP / IFRS)Lead and manage the year-end close process and external auditPrepare and review technical accounting papers and disclosuresEnsure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and reporting requirementsReview and post complex journals, accruals, and provisionsSupport group and consolidated reporting where applicableLiaise with external auditors, advisors, and internal stakeholdersAssist with tax reporting and coordination with tax advisorsSupport improvements to financial reporting processes and controls Candidate Profile Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA)Proven experience in a Financial Accountant, Statutory Accountant, or similar roleStrong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of UK GAAP and/or IFRSExperience managing audits and statutory reporting timetablesHigh attention to detail and a strong control mindsetMethodical, organised, and able to work to strict deadlinesExperience in listed or regulated environments Please put your home postcode on your CV when applying.
