Working towards a greener future - Environmental Sustainability Strategy and Action Plan the Council has committed to making their operations carbon neutral by 2030 while supporting residents and local businesses to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.About the RoleThis fantastic role sits within the Finance Operations section of the finance team, responsible for delivery of the Council’s daily provision of bank reconciliations and income processing as well as supporting the Finance Operations Manager in team supervision.Responsibilities:Perform bank reconciliations for the General Bank account (income), investigating and resolving discrepancies within agreed timescales.Responsible for the income processing function using the Access Income Management System (AIM) to ensure records are correct and maximizing efficiencies and automation.Process cheques (and other income) when required.Liaise with services within the Council to ensure AIM system is being used correctly and meeting needs as well as providing any training that may be required.Identifying ways to improve the bank reconciliation process to reduce discrepancies
