Finance Officer (Payables) Location: London Salary: £26K Contract: 6 month temp We're working with a well-established organisation to recruit a Finance Officer (Payables) to join their busy Finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid accounts payable experience who enjoys working in a high-volume environment and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency. The Role You'll be responsible for maintaining the purchase ledger and ensuring supplier payments are processed accurately and on time, helping to maintain strong supplier relationships and smooth service delivery. Key Responsibilities Process and register supplier invoices, ensuring purchase order controls are followedMatch invoices to authorised orders and resolve discrepanciesManage supplier queries and maintain strong customer serviceSupport weekly payment runs and process ad-hoc paymentsReconcile supplier statements and obtain credit notes where requiredSet up and maintain supplier accounts, ensuring appropriate fraud checksEnsure compliance with HMRC CIS requirementsSupport improvements to Purchase Ledger KPIs and processes About You Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance or accounts payable roleHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailComfortable working in a high-volume transactional environmentStrong communication skillsBasic Microsoft Excel knowledge
