As a close-knit team of five, we operate with a strong team ethos, varied workloads, and a collaborative approach to delivering high-quality housing services.The roleWe’re looking for a Finance Officer to provide effective, day-to-day financial support to the Director of Finance. You’ll play a key role in maintaining financial controls, processing transactions, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and contributing to the annual accounts and audit.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to be part of a small organisation where your work really matters.Key responsibilitiesFull transactional processing, including:Sales and purchase invoicesPreparing payment runsAllocating receipts and paymentsBank reconciliationsJournal preparationQuarterly VAT returns and reconciliationsCompleting monthly balance sheet reconciliations in line with the month-end timetableMaintaining and reconciling the property fixed asset registerCalculating void loss in line with reporting deadlinesAnalysing repairs charges from the local authoritySupporting the Director of Finance with ad-hoc duties as requiredAbout youYou’ll be organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
