Circa: Salary - Salary Plan, 32,290.00 GBP Annual (Prorated: 23,064.75) Join our Financial Operations Team as a Finance Assistant in this part-time position (4 days a week, 25 hours per week), where you'll play a vital role supporting our sales invoicing and accounts receivable operations. Reporting to the Financial Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for processing financial information accurately while meeting monthly reporting deadlines. This is fixed term position of up to 12-months covering maternity leave. In this role, you will: Review and prepare sales invoices for customers across multiple sales platforms. Assess sales orders for approval, ensuring they contain the correct accounting information, and have applied the correct VAT treatment. Manage the customer refund process. Support all internal RSC sales administrators with any queries. Assist with any financial reporting required by the finance team or the wider RSC. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries. Assist in the review of the sales ledger. Monitor the shared sales invoicing mailbox and respond to all queries and requests. What we are looking for: Essential: A good understanding of double-entry accounting. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). A clear understanding of key procedures in the Finance Department, and able to explain these to stakeholders and ensure that they are always adhered to. Able to work to the requirements of detailed daily, weekly, and monthly accounting cycles and deadlines ensuring that internal and external customers’ needs are met. Desirable: Knowledge of Accounting Systems (Oracle NetSuite). Knowledge of VAT treatment for international sales. Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge office, you will be able to work from home within the UK, with the expectation that you will attend the office on an ad-hoc basis.
