- About the Role
- We are looking for a motivated Finance Assistant to join our growing Finance team. This is a hands-on role covering the day-to-day of accounts payable and receivable, payroll preparation, reconciliations, and month-end support. You’ll also get exposure to analysis and ad hoc projects, helping to ensure accuracy and integrity across all financial data.

- No prior finance experience is required — just a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
- Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and manage weekly payment runs.
- Raise client invoices, reconcile payments, and monitor outstanding balances.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, monitor balances, and manage company cards.
- Support month-end with journals, reconciliations, prepayments, and accruals.
- Prepare payroll data and assist with submissions via PayFit.
- Contribute to budget vs actual reports, IB analysis, and expense reporting.
- Monitor the finance inbox, responding to queries promptly.
- Support external audits with schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and post depreciation.
- Help forecast short-term cash flow and support intercompany reconciliations.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to build scalable finance operations.

- Managing multiple tasks across accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
- Maintaining accuracy under time pressure.
- Balancing routine processes with ad hoc reporting and analysis.

- Essential Skills & Attributes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Hardworking and proactive with a “can do” attitude.
- Inquisitive and willing to learn.
- Process-driven, with confidence to suggest and implement improvements.
- Solid Excel skills (including SUMIFS, pivot tables, lookups).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Nice to Have
- Experience with Xero (accounting software).
- Familiarity with PayFit (payroll).
- Exposure to Power BI or data visualisation tools.
