I am looking for an experienced editor to complete a final production pass on my already published adult dark fantasy novel before I update the files on Amazon KDP and IngramSpark. The manuscript is approximately 181,000 words. This project requires a combination of: 1. Final Proofreading Correct typos, punctuation mistakes, missing or repeated words, and minor grammar issues. Maintain the original voice, tone, and pacing of the narrative. 2. Light Copyediting and Continuity Check Identify and correct POV inconsistencies, sensory errors, timeline slips, character or location mismatches, and small logic issues. Ensure consistency in names, descriptions, chapter structure, and terminology across the full manuscript. 3. Formatting Cleanup for Print and Ebook Ensure all chapters begin on a new page and that scene breaks are consistent. Clean up spacing, paragraph alignment, and stylistic formatting artifacts. Prepare final files for: KDP paperback and hardback IngramSpark print edition EPUB or KPF (if offered) Deliverables include a clean DOCX, a print-ready PDF for both platforms, and an EPUB if available. Requirements Proven experience editing long-form fiction, especially fantasy. Strong background in copyediting, proofreading, and book production. Familiarity with KDP and IngramSpark formatting standards. Ability to preserve the author’s style without over-editing. Comfortable working with large manuscripts.
