This is a varied, technically engaging role supporting projects across data centres, advanced manufacturing and high-spec environments. The successful engineer will be involved in commissioning, diagnostics, system integration and client support across the UK. This role offers genuine technical depth, variety and long-term development for an engineer who enjoys site-based work and complex automation systems. Key Responsibilities Install, commission and support automation, SCADA and BMS control systems Carry out diagnostics, troubleshooting and fault-finding across hardware and software Configure and program PLCs, HMIs and SCADA platforms Commission and support OT Fieldbus communications (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP) Provide on-site technical support, guidance and system training to clients Work closely with in-house software and design teams to deliver projects successfully Produce commissioning records, service reports and technical documentation Travel to client sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience within automation or control engineering Hands-on PLC programming experience (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi or similar) Strong knowledge of SCADA systems, HMIs and industrial communications Experience with BMS integration and OT environments Abi
