Competitive salary Located just 35 mins from Tāupo, and 40 minns from Rotorua Health and Life Insurance Exciting, varied opportunity where you’ll do general farm maintenance, fencing, and manage your own day The Opportunity Join our supportive and close-knit farm at Goudies Station as a fencer general, in this varied role, your day could be anything from operating tractors to fencing projects (new and repairs) to stock work, while the role is primarily focused on fencing and farm upkeep, there will be times you’ll be in the yards working with livestock. Experience with stock is a bonus, but a willingness to learn and get stuck in is just as important - you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping the farm running smoothly. The Farm Goudies Station is a 1,779-hectare sheep, beef, and deer breeding and finishing property located in Reporoa, just 35 minutes from Taupō. We are known for our nationally recognised Romney rams, which are bred for FE resistance, fertility, and constitution. Our partnership with Focus Genetics drives ongoing innovation in our breeding programmes. Our deer and cattle systems are high-performing, and the station features a mix of flat to rolling hill country, with pumice-based soils and a favourable annual rainfall of 2,350 mm. Elevation ranges from 408 to 525 metres. About You You’ll bring experience in a similar role (or a strong interest in developing one), you may have been on farm or working in a maintenance type role.
