Part-Time Family Support Worker (18.5 hrs – Maternity Cover)Location: Willow House, 2 Chelmsley Circle, Chelmsley Wood, B37 5UHWe are seeking a compassionate and reliable Family Support Worker to join our team on a part-time basis (0.5 FTE) to cover maternity leave until November 2026.This role is ideal for someone with experience in Family Time/Contact supervision, who is confident working with children, parents, and professionals to ensure safe, structured, and child-centred contact sessions.? Hours We are looking for someone who can cover: Monday – Thursday: 2pm – 6pm(Some flexibility available and earlier finishes may be possible)Potential Saturday work on rotation (not every week, flexible) Total weekly hours: 18.5? Key Responsibilities Supervising Family Time/Contact sessions and undertaking detailed observations and assessments.Ensuring children are never left alone with family members during contact.Providing support, advice, and guidance to parents where appropriate.Ensuring all sessions remain child-centred, with no discussion of care plans or inappropriate topics.Transporting children to and from Family Time sessions (essential).Liaising with Social Workers, IROs, and other professionals.Using knowledge of child development and age-appropriate needs to guide practice. ?
