- and workplace services. We develop and manage Apple’s global real estate
- portfolio, lead all related capital construction projects, provide outstanding
- facilities and site services, develop and lead sustainability initiatives to
- reduce the environmental impact of all Apple facilities, including commute and
- renewable energy programs, and do everything we can to ensure the health and
- safety of all Apple personnel, facilities, and customers in our facilities
- around the world.
- DESCRIPTION
- As a Facilities Manager for Apple's retail stores across the UK, you will be
- instrumental in ensuring they operate as outstanding spaces, consistently
- delivering high-quality environments for our customers and teams. This role
- requires a proactive leader with a proven track record in facilities management,
- capable of overseeing all aspects of store maintenance, operations, and
- strategic improvements across a dynamic retail portfolio. You will drive
- operational excellence, manage budgets, lead vendor relationships, and
- collaborate cross-functionally to uphold Apple's high standards of quality and
- design.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive experience in facilities management, with a demonstrated focus on
- delivering and/or maintaining outstanding retail stores or workplaces. Proven
- ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create and
- closely monitor comprehensive Preventative Maintenance plans. Experience
- building and maintaining strong relationships with facility operation teams,
- utility companies, government agencies, architectural & design firms, and
- general contracting firms. Significant expertise in the upkeep and function of
- buildings, including complex building systems (e.g., electrical, mechanical,
- plumbing, controls, fire-alarm). Expertise in the planning, scheduling,
- budgeting, resourcing, and execution of a wide range of technical services
- (e.g., janitorial, landscaping, flooring, lighting, furniture, warehousing, pest
- control, interior plants, and call-center services). Proven communication and
- supervisory skills, with experience working effectively across various levels of
- an organization. Ability to handle customer service issues involving employees
- in a professional and positive manner. Ability to balance operational risk and
- investment trade-offs, consistently seeking the highest quality and design at
- the best value. Must be centrally located within a major hub of retail stores to
- facilitate frequent site visits and support maintenance across assigned stores
- (minimum twice a month). Ability to travel extensively within the UK and to
- other locations as needed
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or
- Construction Management.
