STEM Recruitment Solutions is searching for a Facilities Engineer to join our client based in Glasgow. This role is a temporary position for 12 months. In this role you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our client’s facility and ensuring optimal operational efficiency through planned and reactive maintenance as and when required. There is scope for this role to become a permanent position within the company.As a Facilities Engineer, you will be required to:Fault find and repair building services and equipment – this can be anything from equipment in the production area, to faulty plumbing or groundskeeping Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedulesHandle maintenance requests as and when they come in through the work order systems – document these tasks accurately on the systemComplete risk assessments prior to any maintenance in adherence to Health and Safety proceduresWork with other departments to plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimise effect on operationsSupport continuous improvement initiatives across the department and sitePerform daily plant and utility checksQualifications and ExperienceEngineering qualification (apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or degree) in a relevant disciplineOpen to junior or graduate-level candidates with limited hands-on experience, provided they have a strong engineering education backgroundWillingness to learnExposure to maintenance systems, facilities, or process equipment would be beneficial but not essentialShift Pattern:Monday – Friday08:00am – 16:00pmSalary:Starting from £17.00 per hour depending on experienceSTEM Recruitment Solutions Ltd operates as both a Recruitment Agency and a Recruitment Business.
